'BasicRootery was born from a vision: to introduce true Neapolitan pizza to London. The Bianchi clan established our small family-owned eatery in 1985, using recipes passed down through the years.
Marco Bianchi, the originator, mastered pizza crafting during her excursions across Italy, learning from renowned pizza chefs in Naples, where pizza was conceived. Back in the UK, she aimed to offer the authentic taste of Italian pies, adhering to time-honored techniques and premium components.
Our humble pizzeria originated as a quaint location with just 12 seats, and it has since gained widespread admiration. Our dedication to excellence and originality has remained intact. We’re faithful to the traditional wood-fire baking process, creating our dough from scratch each day, and selectively sourcing top-notch ingredients.
Now, 'BasicRootery' is still in the hands of the Bianchi family, with the next generation at the helm of our zealous crew. We’ve incorporated contemporary advancements, yet the essence of our trade—producing scrumptious, authentic pizza that unifies—stays intact.
